Container Tracking API

New features

  • Projected vessel trace points are now available on the container trace API as an opt-in capability, giving visibility into a vessel's expected route ahead of arrival. Pagination support was also added to the vessel-trace endpoint.

Bugs squashed

  • Last Known Position updates no longer stick to a vessel after a container has already discharged from it at a transshipment port.
  • Fixed elevated extraction failures affecting OOCL container tracking.
  • Corrected a Wan Hai Lines Gate-out milestone that was intermittently tagged EMPTY instead of LADEN.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause duplicate reference creation to fail.
  • Fixed carrier-identification tracking that could match a container to the wrong carrier (for example, misidentifying Swire as CMA CGM), causing those references to stall with no data.
  • Corrected a PDE milestone being misclassified as POD for inland-destination shipments on Yang Ming and OOCL.
  • Fixed Hyundai Merchant Marine container ID lookups that were failing.
  • Fixed a dropped Gate Out milestone for SITC and COSCO, and improved milestone mapping for empty discharge and transshipment events on SITC.
  • Fixed a Yang Ming transshipment port being misclassified as POD for shipments with a second ocean leg.
  • Fixed KMTC container-only lookups returning no data in cases where a booking-number lookup would have succeeded.
  • Fixed a Hapag-Lloyd Gate-In milestone showing a stray pre-shipment event instead of the correct Gate-In milestone.
