Container Tracking API

New features

  • Added tracking support for Emirates Shipping Line (ESL), Samudera Shipping Line, Turkon Line and Unifeeder. Samudera Shipping Line references can also be tracked by container number alone.
  • Yang Ming Last Free Date information (ramp and terminal) is now published as "Free time to expire" milestones.

Bugs squashed

  • Restored tracking updates for KMTC, which were interrupted in late October.
  • Fixed a spike in failed tracking updates for Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Fixed Hapag-Lloyd rail gate-outs at New York that were reported as a generic truck gate-out with no full/empty indicator.
  • Auto Carrier Identification no longer stops early when a container isn't found at Maersk, Sealand, Hamburg Süd or Sinotrans; it now goes on to check other carriers.
  • Fixed Matson transshipments where the second leg used the wrong vessel, which could add incorrect vessel port calls. Milestones now carry the actual vessel for each leg.
  • Fixed Yang Ming shipments where a transshipment port could be reported as the port of discharge, dropping the second ocean leg.
  • Fixed OOCL shipments where the inland origin could be set to the destination port, and where the planned vessel departure (ETD) could drop off after a truck move at the origin port.
  • Fixed COSCO shipments that could show a second "Gate out from destination port" after the container had already left the port.
  • Fixed Evergreen shipments where repositioning within a transshipment port could mark the onward vessel departure as actual too early, and where a container received at the port of loading could be reported as a transshipment discharge.
  • Fixed missing container ISO codes on Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) references tracked by container number or Auto Carrier Identification.
  • Bill of lading references for Teamglobal Logistics now return container data, including for house bills of lading.
  • Restored terminal updates for the Port of Houston, which had stopped returning data for most containers.
  • Fixed GCT terminal updates that could include events with empty values.
  • POST /references now applies the documented default for webhooks[].sources when it's omitted, and invalid webhook values return a descriptive validation error instead of an empty 422 response.
  • Validation error messages for enum fields now list only the accepted values.
